Janet Supported Leeza's Place in the July 2010 Hike Up Mt. Washington

Accompanied by her husband, Jim, and her friend, Jean Boccelli, Janet hiked up Mt. Washington in NH on July 31, 2010, as part of the ”Army for Change” in bringing awareness of the devastating impact of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and like diseases on families. They were part of the team backing Leeza's Place. It is a network of facilities around the country to support caregivers. Janet has had the pleasure to speak to caregivers at these facilities a number of times. Leeza's Place was established by Leeza Gibbons, whose mother died of Alzheimer's. Janet said that "The climb took us up about 5,000 vertical feet -- giving many of us the physical symbol of the tremendous effort caregivers provide to their loved one every day." The picture shows Jean and Janet with Leeza, just before the climb.
